2020 has been a different year, but did the Covid 19 affect the fashion industry?
The average market consumption of apparel, fashion and luxury players dropped almost 40 percent between the start of January and the 24th of March 2020 — a much steeper decline than that of the overall stock market.
The global textile industry is one of the worst hit by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The rate of people shopping is 50/50 because some stores don’t enforce patrons or staff wearing masks.
“The fashion industry should open but with rules that must be followed” said Tanisi.
Fashion houses are canceling or postponing upcoming shows en masse. Giorgio Armani postponed its April cruise show to November. Versace and Gucci each canceled US shows planned for May, while Prada has canceled its May resort show, which was set to take place in Japan, Business Insider previously reported.

We asked many people some questions about the industry and got these answers-
1. Should the fashion industry open like it was in 2019?
I don't think it is safe for stores to open the same way they were open in 2019.
We need to keep each other safe by wearing masks and staying distant, and we should also be thinking about staying at home as much as possible.
It's much more difficult to make sure clothes fit when you buy them online.
2. Should we ignore the Covid-19 pandemic and start a normal life (shopping, being with people) without any rules?
Absolutely not! If we do those things many more people will become sick and perhaps even die from contracting the Coronavirus.
3. What do you think when I say the word "Fashion Industry" ?
Well, to me, the fashion industry is more about designers and fashion shows than stores and shops.
When I hear about the fashion industry, I'm thinking about runway models and high fashion as opposed to buying a sweater from the mall.
Yes, the fashion industry has changed in 2020 and the cause is Covid 19 because for a time period many people didn’t shop for clothing and this gave the industry a loss of money.
