The year at Reedy Creek may have gotten off to a weird start and most people probably thought that we would be lucky just to make it to the end. They also probably thought that there would be no clubs this year. Well, I’m here to tell you that if you thought that you were wrong. In fact, there are 10 different clubs this year each with their own unique topic.
Why join? Sixth grader Tanisi says she chose a lot of clubs, "because keeping yourself busy during Covid-19 is best." Summer enjoys Drama Club and Anime Club, both have more than 20 members! Most club advisors will give its members some time to chat while they discuss projects or hobbies, this is free time you don't usually get in the classrooms.

For example, you can join the Drama club where they will be teaching students lighting, acting stage direction and much more. Another club you can join is Battle of The Books where students can read and discuss books. There's also Girls Who Code where you will be able to code. Also students can enjoy doing Dance Club with Ms. Bunnell, the sixth grade Social Studies teacher or you could also join the Creative Writing club with seventh grade ELA teacher, Ms. Munson. Where you could practice your writing skills outside of school. There's also for the boys and girls who want to code Snap! Coding, which will allow you to code using SNAP. Another Club you can do is Banned Books where you read a banned book or a book that almost became banned every month. Although if those clubs are not really your thing there's still more. For example another club you can do is Weekly Online News where students can write articles and do newscasts. Although If you don’t like putting your face on camera you can join the Ready Creek Times where your enjoy writing online newspapers for your school. Lastly there’s the Anime club where you will get to share your love for anime and talk about japanese culture.
