Japan will build a robotic moon base
Jaxa, the Japanese space agency, is planning a 2.2 billion dollar project. The project will be responsible for bringing humanoid robots to the moon in 2020. The robots will be self repairing, multi-tasking, and intelligent. Even if Japan does not hit its goal, technology will help it progress faster.
The Yahoo time capsule will open
Back in 2006, Yahoo the web browser invited people to put digital artifacts in the capsule. The capsule will include poems, pictures, art videos, and much more. Right now the capsule is being safeguarded at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC. It will open on Yahoo’s 25th birthday in March 2020.
Biofuels will almost overtake oil
Have you ever wondered when oil will run out? This year peak oil will hit the earth. Peak oil is where the oil supply goes down, and oil prices go up. But don't worry because biofuels are overtaking the market. Biofuels are renewable fuels like vegetable oil and animal fat. The Navy has converted almost 50 percent of their vehicles to run biofuels.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympics
The Olympics are super exciting, and 2020 is the next year it will be held. It will be held in Tokyo, Japan on July 4, 2020. The Tokyo Olympics will feature 5 new sports: Rock climbing, skateboarding, baseball/softball, karate and surfing.
