Dance Beginning is the typical starting place for dancers new to the PCHS dance program. This course is for 9-12 grade students of any dance background. There is no audition required. Students will learn basic dance technique and choreography.
Dance Intermediate is for 10-12 grade students who have successfully completed Dance Beginning or have auditioned for placement during the previous year. Students will build upon dance technique and choreography.
Dance Accomplished is an Honors course for 10-12 grade students who have excelled in the dance program or have auditioned for placement during the previous year. Students will begin work on advanced dance technique and group and solo choreography.
Dance Advanced is an Honors Year-long course for 11-12 grade students who have demonstrated advanced dance technique and choreography. It is preferred that students have taken Dance Accomplished before Advanced. Students will audition for placement during the previous year. Students will have opportunities to choreograph dances for their peers and perform solo choreography.
