My name is Jennifer Michot and I have been the School Counselor at Oak Grove Elementary since June of 2000.  I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Springfield College in Springfield Ma.  I was a classroom teacher in Anderson, South Carolina and in WCPSS prior to beginning my career as a School Counselor.   I completed my masters of education with a degree in School Counseling from Clemson University.  My husband Brian and I have two beautiful daughters and two dogs.  I enjoy reading, swimming, and walking with my dogs.  I also, love to go to the beach.

Hi Otter Families!  My name is Jen Schira and I'm very excited to be joining the Oak Grove community this year!  This is my 3rd year at OGES and my 17th year as a school counselor.   I spent my childhood moving often as a member of a military family.  We settled in Poughkeepsie, NY my senior year and I attended college and graduate school in New York at  Marist College and The College of Saint Rose.  I've called North Carolina home since 2007, when I moved here for my 1st counseling job.  In my free time,  I enjoy traveling with my husband and two children.  We also enjoy time with friends, glow stick dance parties, going on walks, and cooking and eating! If you see me around, be sure to say hi!
