I am Mrs. Hayes and I will be your Kindergarten teacher. We will have so much fun learning new things. My goal for you is to LOVE coming to class each day and developing a strong growth mindset.
About Me: This will be my 13th year teaching, and 6th year at Pleasant Union. Just a little background info.....I am originally from West Virginia. I attended Davis and Elkins College to play basketball and got my undergraduate degree in elementary education. Then I went to West Virginia University and received a master's degree in literacy. My hobbies include crafting, exercising, cooking, working in my garden, and traveling!
Meet my Family
We live in the North Raleigh area with my husband, Brian, and two very active daughters Taylor (13) and Caroline (7). We have two golden retrievers Teddy and Junie. Together we love traveling, playing board games, watching movies, and we are big WVU sports fans.
