SSA Registration Extension
Due to recent weather-related school closures, the district is offering a one-time extension for Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) test requests. Families on all calendars may submit requests until February 13, with a firm deadline of 5:00 PM on February 13.
To request SSA testing, please go to the ShipNotes and click on the link to the Google Form.
Testing window for SSA will be March 13 - 27

The North Carolina Association for the Gifted and Talented has announced an exciting new opportunity for families. For the first time in recent memory, NCAGT will host a family/parent morning as part of the annual conference. Families can attend parent-specific events and sessions on Friday, March 13th at the Embassy Suites in Concord, NC. You can access the flyer for this event here: NCAGT Parent Morning.
The AIG (Academically and/or Intellectually Gifted) nomination window is open for second semester nominations!
Parents may nominate:
High achieving 3rd,4th, or 5th grade students who are not already identified
High achieving 3rd,4th, or 5th students who wish to add a second area of identification
High achieving 3rd,4th, or 5th grade students who are new to Wake County Public Schools

This is a recording of the meeting for parents of students who are already in AIG or Talent Development. The meeting was held during Curriculum Night on September 25, 2025.
AIG Testing Nominations for students in grades 4-5 must be received by October 3, 2025 in order to be considered for Fall Testing.
The AIG program enhances the core curriculum through enrichment in reading and/or math.
Teachers or parents may nominate:
