Do you ever see an animal at the zoo or in a book and wonder where that animal lives? If so, this is the class for you. Come join us on an imaginary trip to the vast lands of Africa while we study zebras, giraffes, hippos, lions, elephants and more. While exploring African animals, students will also investigate the importance of conservation and the role that zoos play.
Do you want to get a chance to collaborate with other students just like you throughout North Carolina? 4H Scouts will be an opportunity to participate in the nationally recognized 4H program through experimentation, inquiry and investigation. This course will focus around farm to table foods, building strong bones and winged wonders! At the completion of this course students will be awarded a 4H leadership certificate from our local North Carolina 4H extension office.
Spikey or fluffy, slimy or scaly, big or small, or covered in feathers! There are so many options for family pets, which would you choose? During this expedition, students will explore the various pets that people have. Not only will students learn about different types of pets, but also how to properly care for them. Students will be able to relate their own personal knowledge and experiences with pets to share throughout the course.
