Welcome to Mrs. Melton's Math Class
WELCOME to 6th Grade Math at Neuse River Middle School!
My name is Mary Catherine Melton and I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child this year. I am originally from NC and went to college at Campbell University earning my Bachelor's degree in Education, specifically Elementary and Middle Grades Math. From there, I taught middle grades math at Pacetti Bay Middle School in St. Augustine, FL for 5 years. While teaching in Florida, I obtained a Master's degree in Education for Curriculum and Instruction at the University of West Florida. After 5 years in St. Augustine, I decided to come back home and teach in Wake County. My husband, Tanner, and I will soon be welcoming twin baby girls into our family. I've taught math for 3 years at East Wake and this is my third year at the (almost) brand new Neuse River Middle School! My number one passion is teaching children and watching them learn and grow throughout the year.
