Laura Barnes

I am a reflective leader and learner with a passion for equity, coaching, instructional design, and public education. Committed to serving others in building capacity to become empowered and self-directed lifelong learners.

I am a Digital Learning Coordinator with the Digital Content and Instruction Team within the Digital Learning and Libraries department. 

I have been teaching in Wake County Public School System since the fall of 2012.  I taught kindergarten and second grade and served as a Magnet Integration Specialist before moving to the Digital Learning Coordinator role in the fall of 2018.

I earned my Master of Education in Curriculum and Developmental Supervision from North Carolina State University. I am a licensed Curriculum Specialist. I attended Elon University as an undergraduate and have a BA in Elementary Education.
