This is Ms. Hill’s 2nd year as a First-grade teacher at Brier Creek! She loves Brier Creek because of the diverse student body and supportive community. Ms. Hill has been a part of the Wake County public school system for 3 years. Prior to working for Wake County, she was a Preschool teacher for 4 years. Ms. Hill earned her Master of Arts in Education from NC State and a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Studies from North Carolina Central University.

Ms. Hill believes the greatest joy of being an educator is the ah-ha moments, laughter, sincerity, the unexpected that keeps her on her toes, being able to adjust in a moments notice, accepting and giving hugs, showing forgiveness, giving second chances and being a positive role model. This year Ms. Hill looks forward to increasing her knowledge of literacy instruction across curriculum, providing purpose driven instructional practices, and supporting students both inside & outside of the classroom. What makes Ms. Hill a good teacher is her ability to develop lasting relationships with families and advocating for her students’ academic growth and needs.
