About me

I born and raised in Raleigh, NC. I attended Millbrook High School and graduated in 1991. I love ALL sports and while at Millbrook, I played tennis, basketball, and soccer. I then attended East Carolina University on a basketball scholarship...Go Pirates! I attended graduate school at ECU also and graduated with my Masters in Athletic Administration in 1998. I married Jason Blackburn the following year, and we have 3 beautiful children together...Jake (15), Luke (13), and Riley (9).

I was fortunate enough to be here when the doors of Wakefield opened in the fall of 2000. I coached Women's Basketball here until I had our third child and then I knew I had to give it up! I am a TRUE WOLVERINE THROUGH AND THROUGH and I cannot wait to get started with our school year!
