Ms. Parker

Hello my name is Carla Parker. I am currently teaching 4th grade. I started teaching at the Lake in 2009. Well, I moved away in 2012 but glad to be back at the Lake.

I am a native of Raleigh, NC. I was also the product of Wake County Public Schools. I attended NCCU to receive my undergrad in Elementary Education K-6 and my Masters in Reading and Literacy K-6. After receiving my degree, I moved to Northern Virginia to begin teaching career. I absolutely love being an educator.

I have two beautiful daughters Sydney and Mikel. Mikel is 22 and a graduate of NSU. My youngest daughter Sydney, is attending my Alma mater NCCU. I love shopping with my girls, listening to music, going out to eat and sitting around talking girl stuff. When I'm not teaching or spending time with my daughters, I like spending time with my friends, shopping and taking trips to get stamps on my passport.

I love that I have a personal angel, my mom cheering me on and watching over me daily. I'm making her proud because I'm doing a great job as a teacher! I absolutely love my job as an educator!!
