About Mrs. Niemi
I am excited to welcome you to my class! It is my goal to make this a year of learning, fun and growth! This year we will be learning fractions, measurement, cursive writing, and much more! I know this year will be rewarding and enjoyable!
Let me introduce myself. I have been an educator for 11 years. My family moved to North Carolina from Ohio in 2013. In Ohio, I taught third and fifth grades. In North Carolina, I have taught third grade for eight years.
I am married and have two sons, a daughter and two granddaughters. I also have two cats, Thomas and Ollie. My granddaughters lives in Ohio so that is where you will find me on my Track Outs!
When I am not teaching, I like to take walks, hike and play tennis. I also enjoy reading and painting. I always enjoy exploring educational ideas for my students and planning new activities to try in the classroom.
I am looking forward to the school year! I know it will be memorable and exciting!
