Welcome to Second Grade:

I am beyond excited to be your child’s teacher this year. I see my classroom as a creative, hard working and inclusive space for all learners. I try to instill a love of learning in my students as well as encourage them to be kind and respectful citizens.

A Little Bit About Me:

I was born and raised in High Point NC. I have a background in art and music. I have lived in Raleigh for 8 years and I love it! My child is my dog Lucy, she is a rescue from Saving Grace and she is always popping up in my classroom in some form or another. I love my family, friends and a good horror movie. 

Educational Background:

I received my undergraduate degree in Media Communications from NC State University in 2011. After some time I realized that I wanted to go into education. I received my graduate degree in Elementary Education from UNCG in 2014. I have taught Kindergarten for two years, First Grade for two years and this is my fourth year teaching second grade.
