Summer Programs
Duke University Summer Programs: Duke offers a number of summer programs to middle and high school students. Programs include Action Science Camp for Young Women, Biosciences and Engineering Camp, Computer Camp, W.R.I.T.E. for College, Math Camp, Leadership Camp, Young Writers’ Camp, Creative Writers’ Workshop, Constructing your College Experience, and SAT and ACT test prep sessions.
Join MarineQuest as we travel back in time to the age of giant prehistoric sharks and discover how North Carolina's coast has changed over the years. While time traveling through our coastal habitats back to the future, Trekkies will use the tools of oceanography, meteorology and paleontology to experience first-hand how hurricanes and other forces of nature have created the coastline that we see today. Discover some of the key marine organisms inhabiting our coastal waters and learn about the importance of conserving our coastline.
Girls Rock NC: Girls Rock NC provides music and empowerment programs to girls and women in the Triangle area. Rock Camp is a one week summer program in which girls form bands, write original music with their peers, attend workshops, and perform their songs for the community at a concert at the end of the week. Camp is open to girls who are ages 7-16. No musical instruments or background are required. Full and partial scholarships are available for qualifying campers.
NC State University Design Camp: NC State offers a number of design exploration, foundations and immersion camps for both middle and high school students.
Saint Andrews University Summer Programs: St. Andrews University offers academic residential programs for students currently in grades 7-11 Their campus is located in Laurinburg, NC. Saint Andrews offers multiple one-week sessions where students are immersed into the subject of their choice.
Saint Mary’s School Summer Programs: Saint Mary’s offers a number of camps for all ages throughout the summer focusing on topics from STEM and biology to tennis and ballet.
UNC-Charlotte Summer Programs: UNC-Charlotte offers a number of different summer programs for elementary-high school aged students.
