My name is Megan Anderson. I was born and raised in Raleigh and graduated from East Carolina University in 2012.
I married my husband, Tyler, in 2019. We have two kids, Olivia and Mason, and a mini bernedoodle, Koda, who keep us on our toes at all times.
I am the youngest of 3. I have two older brothers, and I am an aunt to my nephew and four nieces.
This will be my twelfth year teaching. I taught 1st grade in Greenville, NC, for one year before returning to Wake County to teach at the same school where I began my education, Durant Road Elementary. I taught one year in Kindergarten, and three years in 3rd before transferring to Sycamore Creek Elementary, where I taught two years in 2nd and two years in 4th.
After taking a little time away from teaching to focus on family, I found my way back.
This will be my 3rd year at Bryan Road, and I am so excited to see what good things this school year brings!
