Students must clear all debts before purchasing tickets.  See the front office for any debt amounts owed to the school.  You may not purchase prom tickets until all debts are paid.  You may pay any debts to the front office.

Students who do not attend Southern Wayne are considered to be outside guests.  Outside guests must:

• Be no younger than the 9th Grade

• No older than 21

• Must be approved by the prom committee

You can pick up a guest approval form from Mrs. Wiggs in room 208, the front office, or download it by clicking the link below.  All guests must be approved prior to purchasing their prom ticket.  Outside guest forms must be returned to Mrs. Wiggs in room 208 at least one week prior to purchasing tickets.  Only one guest per junior or senior.

Our dress code is formal attire. 

Gentlemen:

• Men should wear a tuxedo or a Sunday suit.  

• Men must have neckwear or a banded collar.  

Ladies:

• Ladies should wear formal gowns or pantsuits.  

• No dress/pantsuit or slit may be more than fingertip length above the knee. Sheer overlay material does not count in determining the length.  

• Extremely low cut dresses are not allowed. 

If there is a question about attire, see Mrs. Wiggs (208) or Mrs. Whitfield (211). Students out of dress code will not be allowed admittance to the Prom.

If you plan to sign out early on the day of the prom, you must fill out the Prom Release form and return it to the front office by Thursday, April 25.  You may pick up a form from Mrs. Wiggs, the front office, or you can download it by clicking on the link below.  You must be in school for both first and second period in order to attend the prom.  Students will be counted absent for third and fourth period if they leave early.

Any student under suspension on the day of hte prom will not be allowed to attend.  All sales are final.  No refunds will be given.

Prom Release Form

• You will receive your ticket to the prom during second period on the day of the prom.  If you do not have a second period, you will pick your ticket up from the front office.

• When you arrive at the prom, please bring the following:

  • Prom Ticket

  • Bring a Picture ID

  • Be dressed appropriately

• Once you leave the prom, you will not be readmitted

• Prom King and Queen will be announced around 9:45 pm.
