Due to safety requirements, Asplundh will only hire students that are 18. Students who are 17 and turning 18 in the next few months are invited to go ahead and apply and go through the interview process. They can secure the position for a later start date. At this time, students who are 17 and will turn 18 on or before October 31st may apply.
Gathers brush and feeds into wood chipper
Assists with setting up traffic control and facilitating flagging operation.
Assists the Foreperson with daily maintenance of truck, chipper and small tools assuring they are neat and clean
The Groundperson will learn how to use a chainsaw but not operate one until 200 hours of on-the-job training has been completed.
Ability to follow directions

Likes “hands on” experiences
Is punctual and dependable
*The student must have their own transportation as this position may require travel to work sites.
