WCPS Chromebooks are Acer Spin 11 Convertible (2 in 1) devices. They have:
Military grade construction.
360 degree dual torque hinges.
An anti-microbial, Gorilla glass touchscreen. You can use your finger or a soft-tipped stylus with the Chromebook.
A Chromebook has three "modes" :
Desktop Mode
Touchpad Mode
Tent Mode

Your Chromebook must be on wifi in order to function. To add your home wifi to your Chromebook:
Tap the clock/wifi section on the bottom right corner of the screen.
Tap the wifi icon on the menu.
Select your home wifi from the list.
Type in your home wifi password.
You should now be connected!
To sign in to a WCPS Chromebook, you must use your WCPS email address and password. For most students, this is:
username@wcps.k12.md.us - some students also refer to the username as a "5/3".
wcps###### - the # represent your StudentID Number (also your lunch number).
To find Google Classroom on a WCPS Chromebook:
Open Google Chrome.
Click on the nine little dots in the upper right corner near your name.
Find classroom in the list and tap or click on it!
A Chromebook is designed to be used online. Keep in mind that you should be not adding a lot of files to the Chromebook. You should store all your files in your Google Drive.
