This is Mrs. Sample's first year with WCISD where she serves at the high school campus as the Dean of Students.  This includes serving as the Testing Coordinator and Academic Advisor along with other responsibilities.

Previously, she served at Commerce ISD as the CCMR Coordinator, Testing Coordinator, Instructional Specialist, HB4545 Designee, CTE Coordinator, Dual Credit Coordinator, Digital Learning Team Coach, and NHS Advisor, among other duties.

Mrs. Sample has worked at Texas A&M University - Commerce as an adjunct, graduate assistant, and research assistant for about ten years.

Mrs. Sample has three post secondary degrees and is currently working on her dissertation to complete her doctoral degree at TAMUC.  She also attends a lot of outside training and conferences.  Education is a passion!

As a life long learner, she tends to learn as much from her students as she teaches them.  The same can be said for her colleagues.  She values a collaborative environment where all voices are heard and considered because she truly believes that a group is stronger together.

Mrs. Sample is married and has a big family.  Her husband works in corporate management for Roadster 26 Travel Plazas.  Her oldest daughter Alexis is about to graduate from law school at Oklahoma City University of Law.  Her son Taylor is a welder in Texas and Oklahoma, traveling for maintenance in a concrete company to all of their locations.  Taylor and his wife Courtney have just had the family's first granddaughter Rynlee Nicole, making Mrs. Sample a Nonnie!  Her daughter-in-law Courtney is a nurse in Durant.  Her daughter Emily is a junior at TAMUC studying biomedical on a premed track.  Her youngest daughter Alayna has joined her this year at WCISD as a fifth grader.  They are both excited to embark on this new learning adventure.  Yeah... big family with lots going on!

In her downtime, Mrs. Sample likes to create digital things, organize things, plan things... even though this sound like work, she finds it fun.  Her favorite music is either (smooth jazz if she wants to work or write) or any music that is played during practices and games because she knows that her students love working to it!  Simpler unrelated to work things she enjoys include reading, playing the piano, and playing digital puzzle games.  You will also find her attending many of the events in the district cheering on students while they shine in their extracurricular activities!

USE THIS FORM TO REQUEST TO BE CALLED DOWN TO THE OFFICE FOR ANY REASON.  PLEASE BE HONEST SO THAT IT IS CLEAR HOW URGENT YOUR NEED IS.  THIS FORM IS ALSO AVAILABLE ON EACH OF MRS. SAMPLE'S WEBSITES.

Students who want to see Mrs. Sample can either stop by the office during the day on their own or use this google form to be called down.

This google form is posted around the school and in students' google classrooms.

Sometimes students really feel the need to talk to someone, but they don't feel comfortable just stopping by for whatever reason.  Maybe they feel guilty for interrupting an adult's day.  Maybe they feel embarrassed or anxious to ask a teacher if they can go to the office.

Whatever the reason, students need a way to be called to the office without the stigma of going on their own.  They simply fill out the form at any time during the day, and based on their urgency and need, Mrs. Sample (or someone from the front office) will get ahold of them as needed.

Students who stop by may be asked to complete the screener just for documentation purposes if the situation requires more than a quick answer.

These longer conversations might include in depth academic advising, emotional or mental needs, postsecondary planning, or perhaps something similar.

It is of the utmost importance that students feel comfortable and heard as students in all areas of their life.  Mrs. Sample is dedicated to each student and their individual needs.
