Night & Loss of Faith

Elie Wiesel's survivor story allows students to look deeper into the response to discrimination and the potential horrific consequences if it were to escalate to the scale of The Holocaust. During this gripping memoir, students review historic happenings and look at the developing prejudices of the time period. All of this is done in an attempt to answer: How could the world let this occur?

Throughout the reading, students will complete Text Analysis Responses based upon key passages. They will be pushed to look for the deeper meaning in what is said, and to decipher the author's message.
