Saving Office files (Word docs, Powerpoints, Excel sheets etc) to OneDrive Documents or Desktop folder works the same as saving them to your Desktop or Documents folder on your computer as these locations will sync together.
To save your file to OneDrive:
Press the floppy disk save icon in the top-left corner of Word/Powerpoint/Excel/Other or press Ctrl+S
2. Give your file a name. In choose a location:
'OneDrive - wccs.nsw.edu.au' will save the file in your Staff OneDrive documents folder.
'Documents' will save the file to your documents folder on your device. As mentioned before, this will have the same effect as saving to your OneDrive. In situations where you do not have an internet connection you will need to save it here.
A folder within your Documents folder that you have browsed to recently.
A folder in one of your Microsoft Teams that you have browsed to recently.
If none of these locations are suitable, further instructions on browsing to a save location are given in step 4.

a - (Optional) If you frequently save to a location, you may wish to pin it to this list for later use. You can do so by clicking the thumbtack icon next to the relevant location.
b - (Recommended) You can set a location as the default save location by clicking the three dots next to the name of that location and then selecting 'Set As Default Location'. It is recommended you set your default to 'Documents' as this will allow you to save here regardless of whether you are connected to the internet or not.
4. Clicking 'More locations ->' or clicking 'File' -> 'Save As' will bring you to this screen. Recent locations that you have saved to will show up here.
Clicking 'OneDrive - wccs.nsw.edu.au.au' will allow you to browse folders that are backed up to OneDrive from within Word/Powerpoint/Excel.
Clicking 'This PC' will allow you to browse to other locations on the computer main drive (C: Drive) from within Word/Powerpoint/Excel. This includes folders that are backed up to OneDrive.
Clicking 'Browse' will open a File Explorer window that allows you to navigate to other locations. You may wish to do this if you have a USB storage device plugged in that you are saving to.
