On staff laptops where the screen size is smaller (13") you may find it helpful to adjust the screen scaling. Screen scaling can improve visibility of menus, windows and other screen elements on your laptop's display, however, setting this value too high may cause overlapping of screen elements in some applications. If you are finding that the screen layout looks odd, you can try adjusting screen scaling.
To adjust your screen scaling setting, right click on your desktop background and select "Display Settings".
This will open a settings window. Scroll down to the "Scale and layout" section and adjust the drop down box labelled "Change the size of text, apps, and other items.
You can try different settings to see their impact on how elements are displayed on your screen. For a 13 inch screen, 150% scaling is the recommended setting. However, we have found in some applications such as Edumate 150% causes overlap and 125% may be a more suitable setting. Below are examples of the different scaling settings.
