Please also note that the User Interface may vary depending on the version of iOS you are using. This means that icons & menus may look different on your device compared to the tutorials below. However, the process is fundamentally the same. If you have any questions, please email the IT Support staff at helpdesk@wccs.nsw.edu.au
In a web-browser, visit byod.willcarey.nsw.edu.au and login with your student username and password.
Click on the button “Install certificate to continue device configuration”
Press allow on the pop-up.
What happens next will vary depending on which version of iOS you have installed on your device. The more recent versions will have a pop-up indicating that you need to enable the profile through the settings menu.
If this is the case, open your settings menu and navigate to “General”. Some versions of iOS will automatically open this menu for you.
Towards the bottom of the “General” tab you should see “Profile”. In the “Profile” tab, you should see “WCCS Offline Root CA” under a list labelled “Downloaded Profile”. If you have any other profiles/certificates installed on your device, they will appear here.
Select the profile, then select the install option in the top right corner. You may be required to confirm using your device pin/password/fingerprint. Once the profile is installed, select “Done” then return to your web browser.
PLEASE NOTE: A second profile needs to be installed. After completing the installation of the first profile, return to your web-browser. Click on the button “Installing this profile will configure your device”. Install this profile following the same steps as the previous one which are outlined above. Once completed, again return to your browser. You should see a message indicating that the device provisioning has been completed.
Your device will now connect to the WCCS BYOD network.
