At William Carey, we believe that each child is an individual that can make progress. We seek to love and serve our students and their families by providing appropriate adjustments that support and challenge them as learners and members of our school community.
Our learning support program helps students to gain access to the curriculum, participate in a wide range of learning experiences and develop independence. Individual learning plans are developed in partnership with parents and therapists. Student’s strengths are celebrated, and the curriculum is differentiated to maximise inclusion and individual growth. When applicable, Learning Support Assistants are utilised to administer targeted intervention programs, in the classroom or in the Learning Centre.
