The HBIO course provides opportunities if you are interested in practically investigating Human Biology. This course will give you real life skills through the First Aid course as well as laboratory experience at Whitireia.

For entry to this course, students should be achieving at a 'High Developing' or 'Low Proficient' level or better throughout Year 11 Science. Other students may gain entry at the discretion of the HOD – consultation is required.
This course provides an opportunity for you will work on 2 Achievement standards and 3 Unit standards with a potential of gaining 1 credit at Level 1, 11 credits at Level 2, 2 at Level 3 and 5 at Level 4. 19 credits in total
