Preparation for the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Competition typically takes place in weeks 3 and 4 of Term 1. Here, students will choose how they might like to participate, this could include:

Performing
Composing
Costuming
Technical Designing

SHEILAH WINN PERFORMANCES 2023
The Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival is a national Drama competition in which students can participate in directing and performing excerpts from Shakespeare's catalogue of work. Creativity and new interpretations of his pieces are encouraged!
Wellington Regionals: The first round of performances take place in Week 10 of Term 1 at Wellington East Girls' College and typically features around 50 short performances submitted from schools all around the Wellington Region.
National Finals: If selected as one of the top performances by the judges at the regionals then students will go on to perform at the National Finals that take place over the Queen's Birthday Weekend.
NSSP: The National Shakespeare School's Production is a programme students can be selected for from both Regional and National level.
