WHO: Highly recommended for all 11th grade students. Encouraged for 10th grade students.

ABOUT THE PSAT: It’s a standardized test that provides first hand practice for the SAT Reasoning Test.

WHAT IT MEASURES: Reading, Writing and Language, and Math skills developed over many years, in and out of school.

WHY YOU SHOULD TAKE THE PSAT: The PSAT is a shorter version of the SAT exam required by most 4 year Colleges and Universities. Statistics indicate that students who take the PSAT exam score higher on the SAT than those who don’t. Your college search starts with the PSAT exam. By taking the PSAT, you will get college literature from schools all over the country. Grade 11 students can compete in the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Program which awards scholarship money to top scorers nationwide.

PREPARING FOR THE TEST: Read the Student Bulletin Guide from cover to cover which has tips on how to study for this test and then take the practice test. You will be given a bulletin guide after your sign up for the exam.
