Dates of NVSEF Training, October 30-31 at the Attica Zoological Park, Athens
Schools have a flex calendar and can initiate the start and end of their local science and engineering fairs within the dates of November 1, 2026 - April 10, 2027
Advancing teams can begin to upload their Round II research reports and answers to the 4 questions as early as February 20, 2027.
November 1, 2026: ASK A Scientist (real scientist) opens to all 7th- and 8th-grade teams. The AI -ASK A Scientist can be used at any time.

April 10, 2027 - All Local Science and Engineering Fairs are completed.
April 10: Winners are announced from all participating NVSEF Schools that will continue to Round II. You may announce your winners before April 10 and begin the process of Round II earlier.
April 12-April 25: School NVSEF Coordinators will upload the report, 4 questions and team video links to the Google Round II sign up form by April 26.. Teams should check to make sure their team information is posted correctly and all links work..
May 1-May 7: Part II: Judges enter research site and access: online site, research report and responses to the 4 questions.
May 10: Winners are announced! Top 5 teams continue to Champion’s League
May 14: NVSEF Varsity Finals begin.
May 14-17: Prompt is added to the NVSEF Varsity teams
May 18-22: NVSEF Varsity students answer prompts
May 23-25: Judges Review NVSEF VARSITY Teams and rank for finalists
May 26: All NVSEF Winners Announced from both divisions
Religious Dates:
Ramadan : Begins at sundown on Sunday, February 7 or Monday, February 8, and ends the evening of Monday, March 8, 2027
Easter: Western Christianity: Sunday, March 28, 2027.
Eastern Orthodox (Pascha): Sunday, May 2, 2027.
Passover: Begins at sundown on Wednesday, April 21 and ends at nightfall on Thursday, April 29, 2027. (In Israel, it is observed for 7 days, concluding the evening of Wednesday, April 28, 2027)
