Schedule of Events:
Dates of NVSEF Training, October 30-31, 2025 (Attica Zoo - Athens)
Schools have a flex calendar and can initiate the start and end of their local science and engineering fairs between November 1, 2025 and April 10, 2026.
Advancing teams can begin to edit their Round II template as early as February 20, 2026.
Advancing teams can answer round II judging questions upon request as early as March 1, 2026 (This option is to allow schools with varying holidays to finalize round II requirements, in case there are religious or spring break holidays that collide with these events)
November 1, 2025: ASK an Expert (grades 5-6).

April 10, 2026 - All Local Science and Engineering Fairs are completed.
April 10: Winners are announced from all participating NVSEF Schools that will continue to Round II. You may announce your winners before April 10 and begin the process of Round II earlier.
April 12-April 25: School NVSEF Coordinators will upload the report, 4 questions and team video links to the Google Round II sign up form by April 26.. Teams should check to make sure their team information is posted correctly and all links work..
May 1-May 7: Part II: Judges enter research site and access: online site, research report and responses to the 4 questions.
May 10: Winners are announced! Top 5 teams continue to Champion’s League
May 14: NVSEF Junior Varsity Finals begin.
May 14-17: Team of Science Educators rank NVSEF JV teams
May 18-22: NVSEF Varsity students answer prompts
May 26: All NVSEF Winners Announced from both divisions
