Teaching primary elementary education is truly a blessing to behold. Students are first introduced to all of the subjects that they will be learning for years to come. The most enjoyable aspect of teaching is igniting the initial spark in subjects like math, Language Arts and science. The ability to shape young minds and capture their academic success is what Larissa truly loves most about being a teacher.
Wayne Township Public School District offers its teachers the ability to build relationships with extraordinary colleagues from across multiple schools. The depth of knowledge that Larissa has gained from her peers, mentors, and administrators has enriched her own understanding of classroom practices and procedures. She has improved her skills and overall classroom performance from collaborating with the best and brightest educators in the state. The working relationships she has built in Wayne have molded who she is as an educator.
Nancy Carluccio's favorite aspect of being a paraprofessional is getting to know her students and building a connection with each of them as this is key to their personal growth and success. Nancy fosters independence both academically and socially using strategies that work for each student to meet their individual needs. She knows it is very important to build a foundation to help her students succeed in their future school years. Nancy feels rewarded when students persevere, master concepts and show pride in their work. The thing she loves most though, is getting to know the students and their different personalities.
Nancy is proud to be part of the Wayne Township Public School District because she values the friendships made and all she has learned from her colleagues. She loves seeing her former students and hearing how they have progressed. After starting in Pre-K, Nancy has been working at Lafayette Elementary for the past ten years. She feels very fortunate to be surrounded by such caring, supportive and dedicated professionals and is grateful to be part of the Lafayette family.
