The best part about being a teacher is the ability to be a positive influence in my students' lives. Knowing the diffference I can make, gives me a purpose and adds meaning to my life. I love to inspire, support, and mentor my students through difficult times in their lives. Helping students acknowledge their weaknesses, but focus on and harness their strengths builds their self-esteem, and ultimately empowers them to grow. Witnessing this transition is so rewarding. Additionally, I value the connections and relationships I develop with my students. My passion comes from loving what I do as well as loving my kids. When I can make a difference in their lives, this means the world to me, but my greatest gift is knowing the difference they make in my life every day.
It’s hard to put into words what the Wayne Township Public School District means to me. I grew up in Wayne and went through elementary, middle, and high school here. I went away to school, but I found my way back completing the circle. There is a reason that so many of our employees are Wayne born and bred. The strength and support of our community speaks for itself. The camaraderie throughout the district validates the work we are all doing together, from our administration to our students. Being a part of Wayne Township Public Schools makes me feel that I am a part of something larger than life. I am honored and grateful to be blessed with the opportunity to give back to the school district that gave so much to me.
Providing students with the tools they need to be successful later in life is extremely rewarding. All of us need to work within our capabilities and work with the circumstances life may give us. For some, acquiring a new skill comes easier than it does for others. Helping students learn how to reach their potential and making a difference in their lives means a great deal to me. I love being able to share my knowledge with my students and help them learn their own process for learning new things. By empowering them I feel I am giving back and making a difference.
I am very fortunate to be able to work in the district where I live. Working in the Wayne School District allows me to watch the children that I have worked with grow. I am also able to follow their achievements throughout their schooling. It is important to me to work in a district that has a strong foundation. I have worked with some amazing administrators, support staff, and teachers. So many of my colleagues go above and beyond for their students.
