On January 13th, twelve students from the Wayne Hills Engineering Club traveled to Monmouth Regional High School to compete in the Physics Olympics competition of the New Jersey section of the American Association of Physics Teachers (NJAAPT). The competition involved more than 40 teams from all over the state. Teams competed in six different events, five of which involve designing and building a device to accomplish a task within a strict set of guidelines. This year's challenges included a Spaghetti Tower, a Mousetrap Car and a Coffee Can Racer. The two teams from Hills placed 6th and 9th overall and both placed in the top three in the Fermi Questions Event. Congratulations to all team members on a great showing and a fun day!
