At the October 29th Wayne Board of Education meeting, the administration shared a proposal for the second phase of the Return to School Plan. Phase II includes a revised schedule for elementary teachers and students.

In addition, the proposal calls for increased instructional time by eliminating virtual Wednesdays and allowing for in-person instruction.

Matthew Mignanelli Appointed as Director of Secondary Education
The Wayne Township Board of Education is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Matthew Mignanelli as Director of Secondary Education. He will assume his new position on or before December 1, 2020. Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Mark Toback, noted, “We are thrilled to have Mr. Mignanelli join our central office team. As the interview process moved forward with a number of strong candidates, Mr. Mignanelli emerged as the top choice. He is a forward-thinking administrator who has a strong background in many areas and understands our community.”

After ten years serving the Wayne School District, Matthew Mignanelli has accepted his new position as the Director of Secondary Education. JFK Elementary Participates in ADL's Walk Against Hate
This year, JFK Elementary participated in the Anti Defamation League's (ADL) 10th Annual Walk Against Hate from October 12-18. The school's goals for the week were to continue learning about being an upstander and standing up to hate and bullying, to continue making JFK a place where all are welcome, and to get moving for 10,000 minutes as a school community.
