This past summer, Wayne Hills senior, Kaushik Tallam attended the
New Jersey Governor's School for Engineering and Technology. He was part of a group doing biomedical research on how to optimize 3D printed polymer strands for use in nerve conduits for patients who have severed nerves with the goal of restoring nerve function. The group's research paper was accepted for presentation at the 2019 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)/Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Undergraduate Research Technology Conference. Kaushik traveled to MIT from October 11th -13th for the presentation and a version of the group's paper may be published in the
IEEE Xplore Digital Library. The full-length version of this paper will also be published by Rutgers University.
