Wayne Valley High School Staff Members Present at NJSBA Workshop
Wayne Valley staff members delivered a presentation to school board members and administrators from communities across the state at the New Jersey School Boards Association Workshop 2019, held in Atlantic City from October 21st through October 24th. Their presentation centered around Wayne Valley's health and wellness initiatives, especially as it relates to school culture and climate. Wayne Valley High School has been very successful with a number of initiatives that also served to reduce the number of incidents of harassment, intimidation, and bullying.

Wayne Hills High School Senior Attends New Jersey Governor's School for Engineering and Technology for Biomedical Research
Wayne Hills High School Senior Attends New Jersey Governor's School for Engineering and Technology for Biomedical Research
This past summer, Wayne Hills senior, Kaushik Tallam attended the New Jersey Governor's School for Engineering and Technology. He was part of a group doing biomedical research on how to optimize 3D printed polymer strands for use in nerve conduits for patients who have severed nerves with the goal of restoring nerve function. The group's research paper was accepted for presentation at the 2019 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)/Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Undergraduate Research Technology Conference. Kaushik traveled to MIT from October 11th -13th for the presentation and a version of the group's paper may be published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. The full-length version of this paper will also be published by Rutgers University.

Part of AW's Week of Respect included their PTO's annual fall fundraiser. This is year it was Paint Twister. Students teamed up for a lot of messy fun to help raise money for AW's PTO.

2nd Annual Pizza Party for Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley High Schools' Cheerleaders
On Friday, September 13th, Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley High Schools' Cheerleaders came together before the big Hills/Valley football game for their 2nd Annual Pizza Party. All three squads from both schools and their coaches, came together to hang out and have pizza before the big game. All of the cheerleaders wore shirts sporting the same design of “Two Schools, One Town” in their respective team colors. The teams also supported each other during their performances at the game. It was a great display of sportsmanship.

Packanack/Apex Remix Fundraiser
Packanack Elementary School would like to thank their families for their support during the Packanack School Apex Remix Glow Party. The students had a great time in squad training sessions where they were getting their GAME ON and learning the strength of different character traits. The Remix Glow Party was a great success. Students entered a glow in the dark haven (formally known as the school’s gym) to join the Apex Team along with their grade-level peers to learn and perform fun fitness moves as upbeat music pumped through the speakers!
