Dear Students,
We thank all who decided to write regarding concerns about the revised high school schedule. While it is not possible to respond to each individual email due to high volume, or respond to all social media comments, I do feel that it is important to reach out to you about this issue. You deserve a response along with detailed answers and explanations for the questions and concerns that you raised. The main point is that while we are all-virtual, we hoped to add some additional instructional time, knowing that we are rapidly approaching the time of year when important standardized tests like the SAT, ACT and AP Exams are on the minds of many students. Our goal was to enhance the virtual teaching and learning experience.

Beginning Monday, February 1st and by APPOINTMENT ONLY, the Technology Department will be offering a Remote Help Desk located at Anthony Wayne Middle School at the Cafetorium entrance. Hours of operation are from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday when school is in session.

Please DO NOT use the main entrance. Continue around the circle to the last set of doors before you begin to exit the school (see picture). Simply pull up to the entrance and remain in your vehicle and a member of our technology team will come outside to assist you.

Our technicians will make every effort to repair the device while you wait in your vehicle. If that is not possible you will be issued a loaner until the repair can be completed. You will be contacted when to pick up your repaired device.

SCMS Sends Holiday Cheer
SCMS Sends Holiday Cheer
Schuyler Colfax Middle School students created holiday cards to send to our local essential workers. In total, about 500 cards were made. Cards were given to our local police department, health care workers, and other essential workers throughout the town. This was a great way for our students to show their appreciation and give back to the community that takes such great care of us all.

The Elementary School Counseling Program's mission is to provide a student-centered comprehensive program that is grounded in prevention and intervention services for all students in grades K-5. The program supports students in the formation of social skills and character development through direct instruction, collaboration with school staff, community resources and referral services. We strive to be instrumental in providing a safe, secure, supportive and nurturing school environment and promote the full academic, social, and emotional development of every child.
