No Name Calling Week this year is January 18th -22nd and is a week organized by K-12 educators and students to end name-calling and bullying in schools.

Randall Carter's Winter Clothing Drive
Randall Carter's Winter Clothing Drive
Randall Carter Elementary School recently held a Winter Clothing Drive. Families and students collected 73 hats, 82 gloves/mittens, 46 scarves, 6 winter sets, 62 pairs of socks, 1 sweater, and 2 jackets. All of the donations went to Passaic County United Way.

The Elementary School Counseling Program's mission is to provide a student-centered comprehensive program that is grounded in prevention and intervention services for all students in grades K-5. The program supports students in the formation of social skills and character development through direct instruction, collaboration with school staff, community resources and referral services. We strive to be instrumental in providing a safe, secure, supportive and nurturing school environment and promote the full academic, social, and emotional development of every child.

At the December 3, 2020 Board of Education Meeting, the Wayne Board of Education approved the per diem rate of $150 per day for substitute teachers. This rate takes effect on January 19, 2021.
