On Dec. 4th, the Wayne Hills High School Chamber Choir participated in the North Jersey School Music Association Choir Festival at Montclair State University, during which they performed in front of seven other area choirs and were critiqued by college music professors. Following the performance, Dr. Jason Vodicka from the Westminster Choir College, worked with the Chamber Choir onstage in a "clinic" setting. The Chamber Choir sang "How Merrily We Live" by Michael East, edited and arranged by John Leavitt, and "Sisters" (from White Christmas) by Irving Berlin, arranged by Kirby Shaw.

On December 12th, Wayne Hills High School Photography students hosted their second annual Photo Gallery Night. A jazz band played while parents, families, friends and the community walked around to view over 200 images taken by WHHS photography students. The event raised over $1,000 in just two hours, which will help fund additional gear and experiences for photography students.

On December 18th, students at Wayne Hills High School were able to participate in their fourth Wellness Wednesday event of the year. This event centered around "Beating the Winter Blues," and featured activities that focused students on connecting with one another and sharing positive, calming thoughts.

Students rotated between 5 stations: a mindful coloring station, a craft station, a limbo contest, a snowman stacking relay race, and a corn hole tournament. The school counselors, PE department, and interns collaborated all day to bring each student a unique, relaxing and mindful experience. The next Wellness Wednesday will take place on January 15th. The event is titled "Pets for Less Stress" and will feature at least eleven therapy dogs.
