WTPL Poetry Contest

Entries must be submitted by May 1, 2020

The Wayne Public Library is holding its annual Poetry Contest in honor of April as National Poetry Month. Entries will be accepted from Wednesday, April 15th – Sunday, May 3rd . The Poetry Contest is for Wayne children and teens in grades 2nd – 12th and will be separated into three groups. There is a 2 poem limit that can be submitted by one person.


Grades 2–6

Entries Must Be Received by May 15, 2020

Prizes: Ten (10) Winners will receive a Who Knew? Haiku Library and a set of magnetic poetry. PLUS their work will be published on the Scholastic Book Clubs website!

You will find a selection of contests published by Scholastic. The contests will only accept PDF or Word Documents. Each contest has its own entry form. You will need to print, scan, and upload with your entry with parent permission.
