Region 3 Leadership Competitions

Friday, February 7, 2020 - Leadership and Occupationally Related Contests to be held!

SkillsUSA Leadership Contests at Area 31 Career Center

Registration: 4:30 pm Start time: 5:30 pm

Snacks will be available for purchase from 5:30 - end of contest.

Contests to be HELD:

All contestants in the following contests are invited to compete in a "practice" contest situation. See notes below the list.

The contests listed above have LESS than FIVE contestants/entries, and those contestants will received a BYE and automatically advance to the state competition in April. With that said, we would like to offer all students with competition experience if possible so we will assist in holding the contests above.

Advisors will need to provide ONE judge to use during the "practice" contest. We will follow the National Technical Standards for the contest. Area 31 will provide at least ONE judge to assist in each contest listed. A room will dedicated to each contest and scoring will be done during the "practice" contest. This "practice" will in NO WAY influence or change a student's opportunity to advance to the state competition.

If advisors do not want to hold a practice contest, the individuals or teams will automatically advance to the state contest.

Saturday, February 8, 2020 - Skill Contests

All contests on the SkillsUSA national website will be held if there are more than five contestants registered.

If you have specific questions or have suggestions or contacts for judges or contest sites, please email debbie.montgomery@wayne.k12.in.us.

All contestants in the following contests will advance to the state competition. We will work directly with advisors to attempt to provide "practice" contests for the contests that have MORE THAN ONE SCHOOL registered.
