sensory Garden

As part of the Woodlands Garden Project, there will be a space for a Sensory Garden to promote the benefits of horticultural therapy, particularly with children and families. Some children face many challenges in their lives; we truly feel that our garden will be able to provide sensory aspects to heal with what nature can offer to meet our children’s mental health needs. Therefore enabling them to fulfil their potential, feel happy and safe and achieve well.

The tangible benefits of echo therapy on mental health, and the garden will act as a catalyst for people of all ages to explore their relationship with green space, a place to rejuvenate, restore and retain personal wellness.

The Sensory Garden area exposes children to sights, smells and noises promoting the enjoyments of time spent surrounded by nature.
