WELCOME TO WHS

A Message from Our Principal

Welcome you to the Wauseon High School Website.  Thank you for visiting our website as we feel communication is essential among parents, students, and our school community. This is one tool we utilize to provide a wealth of information on the programs, policies, and the wide range of activities available to students at Wauseon High School.

It is with great pride and excitement that I begin my new role as principal of Wauseon High School for the school year of 2026-2027.  Having served this district since 2006 as a science teacher, coach, and most recently as the assistant principal, I am blessed to lead a school that has been my professional home for over two decades.

We believe every student can succeed with the combined effort of our dedicated WHS staff, supportive families, and the amazing Wauseon community.  Our goal is to continue to create a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers every student to reach their fullest potential not only academically but also as they mature into productive  adults and citizens in the future.

This next year, we will continue to focus on creating a learning environment where students feel valued, challenged, and supported. We are committed to an engaging high school experience that prepares students for their futures, whether they will be furthering their education or joining the workforce.

I look forward to an academically rewarding school year for our students, a professionally rewarding year for our staff, and a year that parents, families, and the community of Wauseon will be proud of.   I look forward to seeing and meeting  many of you at upcoming school events and throughout the year.

Please continue to visit our website for updates throughout the year. We welcome your feedback and will utilize it to improve the learning environment for our students.  My door is always open, and I encourage open communication to help ensure every student's success.  Feel free to contact me at any time by phone (419-335-5756), or email tthomas@wauseonindians.org

Sincerely,

Trent Thomas
