  • During your independent work time, you should Drop Everything And Read from an independent reading book for at least 1 hour every week. You can choose if you break up the time into chunks of 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or one full hour.

  • By the end of the week, you should have read for at least one hour, and submitted your weekly DEAR Check-In Google Form. Your form should be submitted by 5:00 pm every Sunday. Your homeroom teachers will be checking to make sure you have done so.

Use Destiny Discover (WMS Library's catalog) to find books. You can also borrow and read eBooks or digital audiobooks! Just login with your school email.

Borrow and read from a collection of thousands of eBooks and digital audiobooks! Use SORA on the computer, or download the app SORA on your phone.

Is the book you are looking for not in the WMS Library? Check on the Minuteman Library Network! Here you can find books available at the Watertown Free Public Library, or many other town libraries through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

Do you want a book from the WMS Library? Request a book, and it pick it up outside of school on Tuesday afternoon!

To request a book, you must submit a book request form (bit.ly/wmslibreqform) by Monday at 5 pm. Make sure the books are available in the library catalog first- if you don’t know how to search the WMS Library catalog, watch this video. In this form you will also select a time slot to pick up your books on Tuesday afternoon, between 12:45-3:45pm.

By 9am Tuesday morning, Ms. Maroni-Wagner will send an email to confirm your books are ready, and what time to come pick up your books that day. Your books will be waiting for you in a disposable bag, outside the main doors of the school. Make sure to come at your selected time.
