About us

The Waterford Wolverine Shooting Team, composed of Elementary through High School students from the Waterford Union High School District participates in clay target shooting events throughout Wisconsin. Athlete participation levels include Rookie, Intermediate Entry, Intermediate Advanced, JV, Varsity, and Collegiate. Our season consists of weekly practices on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings. We compete against school teams from the SWSSC. Competition also includes Invitationals, State, Regional and National events.

Mission

The Waterford Wolverine Shooting Team's (WWST) mission mirrors that of the SCTP which is to instill, in young people, a set of personal values and character traits that teach fair play, compassionate understanding, individual responsibility, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and personal commitment. These are all important assets and qualities that are necessary to become a successful and contributing member of society.

Vision

The Waterford Wolverine Shooting Team seeks to help all student athletes strive towards, and reach their individual potentials as competitive target shooters.

Core Values

Many characteristics are taught to the athletes of the Waterford Wolverine Shooting Team. These consist of safety, scholarships, integrity, sportsmanship, excellence, respect, and teamwork.

History of WWST

At its start in 2011, the Waterford Wolverine Trap Team had 25 team members. Since then, the Waterford Wolverine Shooting Team has gained over 50+ new team mates, and changed its name to show the different disciplines shot. The team continues to dominate the competition, show their sportsmanship, and even show their expertise abilities. In 2015, WWST became a 501(c)(3) organization.
