What to Expect as a member of the Dance Team:

- We are primarily a Fall and Winter sport

- We practice two to three times a week

- We perform at all home football games, and a little over half home Varsity boys and

girls basketball games.

- You may choose to be part of the competitive team or just choose to perform and

participate in school events (football games, homecoming, basketball games, parades,

volunteering opportunities)

- Costs for team competitions are covered by school. If you choose to compete in the

solo, duet, or small group division the costs are covered by you.

- Expect to pay for family apparel / fan t-shirts / competition apparel

Tryouts:

- If there are enough numbers, there could possibly be a varsity and jv team

- The team is decided based on judges scores from tryouts with a natural break in the scores.

- See the tryout scoring sheet to see what is expected at tryouts.

- The tryout “application” must be turned in at tryouts along with athletic fees paid.

- Tryouts are a two - three day process. The first two days are learning and review, and

the third day is the actual tryout date with the judges.
