3. Go to slide x to review the goal for today's reading session

4. Meet with your book club to set a reading goal to complete by the end of class on Friday

   • Place your bookworm bookmark at this stopping point

   • Check the book club calendar if you are not in class

5. Make a work plan with your book club on slide x

6. On slide x, work through the prompts in order to analyze your primary source

   • Connect To Your Text: What part of your novel does the picture remind you of

   • Questions: What scenes/ part of your book raises questions

   • Study it: Notice the big details and the small details in the primary source pictures... what do they tell you

   • Historical Connection: What historical events are represented in the primary sources and in your novel?

7. Begin reading your book club book

8. With remaining time, read your choice book

1. Access your Writing Notebook

   • Go to your Class App and click on writing

2. Go to slide 14-17

   • Title the subtopic on each slide to match the table contents

3. Work to research your career and take notes on slides 15-17 to gather information about your chosen subtopics

4. Be sure to document what source and page number (if it's a book) you are getting your information from

5. Take quality notes and if it is not YOUR WORDS, be sure to use quotation marks
