4. Begin working on your Pizza Fraction Project, following directions given in class

SESSION 1a:

1. Watch the lesson video or the lesson in class

   • Listen to Rose Blanche BEFORE the lesson video

2. Access your reading notebook

   • Go to your Class App and click on reading

3. Go to slide 4 to review the goal for today's reading session

4. Create your group work plan for the day on slide 5

   • Click here to access the read aloud your group has been assigned

5. On slide 19, take stop & jots as your group pauses the video when you notice important clues

   • Be sure these are strong stop & jots- take the time to DEVELOP your ideas

6. On slide 5, record important clues that you notice and inferences you can make about those clues

   • Work to have a strong discussion about your clues and inferences. Use the anchor chart on slide 25 as needed.

SESSION 1b:

7. Watch the lesson video or the lesson in class

8. Bring your sticky notes with your characteristics to your group meeting area

9. As a group, decide what you will include in your book club constitution

10. Write a draft and check in with your book club teacher

11. Once your constitution has been approved, you will be able to publish your constitution

12. All group members will sign the constitution showing you are agreeing to follow your group's expectations

Directions:

1. Access your Writing Notebook

   • Go to your Class App and click on writing

2. On slide 14, reread the prompt you are responding to

3. Reread “One Lucky Fish” as needed

4. On slide 14, review the Thought Map you completed yesterday

5. Start the RACER organizer on slide 15

   • Each ACE will represent the format of each body paragraph

   • Be sure to write complete sentences. This will save you time later.

6. When you finish, free write or choose one of the February Writing Prompts
