   • Be sure to use the rubric and checklists provided as you complete the assessment

   • Read BOTH passages in the google form before you answer the questions

   • Write in complete sentences and demonstrate your best work

1. Access your Writing Notebook

   • Go to your Class App and click on writing

2. On slide 11, reread the prompt you are responding to

3. Reread “Elephant Talk” as needed

4. On slide 12, review the RACER organizer you completed yesterday

   • If your organizer is incomplete, complete the organizer before continuing on

5. On slide 13, click on the google classroom icon in order to access your document to type your TDA essay response

6. Begin writing your TDA on this document. Be sure to include:

   • Introduction Paragraph

   • 3 Body Paragraphs

   • Conclusion Paragraph

7. Be sure you are using your planning tools (thought map & RACER organizer) and writers checklist as you work

8. When you finish, free write or choose one of the February Writing Prompts
