Directions:

1. Go to iReady and complete the Lesson 15 Comprehension Check

   • Find the check under Teacher Assigned

   • Be sure to show your work on a separate sheet of paper before selecting your answer

   • Your quiz will be reviewed by your teacher and you will receive your score once it is reviewed

3. Complete an activity from the lesson choice board

Directions:

1. Watch the lesson video or the lesson in class

2. Access your reading notebook

   • Go to your Class App and click on reading

3. Open your research project located in your notebook on slide 40

4. Create your group work plan for the day

5. Choose 1 Newsela article about your topic

   • This does NOT need to be about one of your assigned subtopics

6. Take structured notes as you read

7. In the "Write About Your Reading" section of your research project, write about the article you read on one of the slides in that section

• Be sure to follow the Do's and Don'ts about writing about your reading

Directions:

1. Watch the lesson video or the lesson in class

2. Access your Writing Notebook

   • Go to your Class App and click on writing

2. On slide 18 of your writing notebook, generate 3 strong reasons that support your opinion of your masterpiece in the middle column of the organizer

3. Your three reasons should be clear and clearly connect to the topic of your masterpiece

4. Begin working on explaining your reasons in the second column of the organizer.

   • Your explanations of each reasons should be explained with detail

   • The more you explain now, the less you will have to write later on

5. With any extra time, free write

   • Check out the January Writing Prompts if you need ideas

2. Work through each activity at your own pace

   • All activities from Chapter 2 - Part B are due on 01/27/2021

3. When you finish an activity, place an X on the digital checklist to let your teacher know to check your work

   • After your work is scored, you may decide to recomplete the activity to improve your score.
